The Kurzweil KSP8 multi-bus signal processor is an 8-channel effects system designed for the professional engineer, producer, or musician who requires high-performance effects, excellent sound quality, and unparalleled real-time control.
The optional RSP8 offers totally remote operation over all KSP8 functions. The remote offers the same display, navigation and data entry controls as the KSP8. In addition, the RSP8 adds a joystick and 8 knobs to control the KSP8 more efficiently.
The RSP8's compact and attractive design will be at home in any studio environment. One RSP8 can control up to 7 KSP8s when used with the HUB7, our optional multi-port hub.»

«Wenn der Preis noch keine Vorentscheidung getroffen hat, werden es die Schwerpunkte der Geräte tun. Der Orville ist eindeutig das leistungsfähigere und flexiblere Gerät mit eindeutig akademisch/experimentellen Labor-Charakter, aber leider auch empfindlich teuer.
Den Preis der Remote kann man nicht anders als unverschämt bezeichnen, trotz LED-Kränzen und Endlos-Drehreglern. Darüber hinaus ist während der Testphase das aktuelle 3.002 OS vier Mal abgestürzt, das darf bei einem Preis von über 7.000 Euro einfach nicht passieren.»

«Der KSP8 hingegen hat einen musikalischeren Charakter, er wirkt mehr wie ein Effekt-Synthesizer und lässt sich auch so bedienen.
Sein großes Plus ist das Preis/Leistungs-Verhältnis bei ähnlich bis gleich hoher Effekt-Qualität. Wenn Kurzweil bei der DSP-Power nachlegen und einen Pitch-Shifter spendieren würde, wäre der KSP8 ein fast perfektes Gerät.»
